Objective: Promote the utilization and development of inventions and discoveries in support of the Laboratorys science and technology transfer mission. Measure 1.1: Timeliness of invention administration.
Expectation 1.1: Invention administration will be completed in accordance with the timelines identified in the M&O contract. Measure 1.2: Utilization of other appropriate mechanisms (i.e., trademarks, copyrights, CRADA data protection, etc.) Expectation 1.2: Technology transfer manager reviews licensing potential of software created at the Laboratory on a quarterly basis. Measure 1.3: Nature and appropriateness of procurement and technology transfer instruments. Expectation 1.3: Subcontracts incorporating a special works data clause or a limited rights data clause are reviewed and approved by DOE Patent Counsel. Proprietary work-for-others and proprietary user agreements are approved by DOE patent Counsel. |

Mid-Year Status Report due by July 15, 2000. This report should discuss critical items, significant changes, and the status of the self assessment effort to date. Year End Final Report due 45 days after calendar year. |

DOE Operational Awareness: |
|
DOE interaction on an as need basis to include the following: Periodic meetings and communication between the Ames Group and Laboratory management staff. Review the year-end self-assessment report and determine the need for an on-site validation. Review and analysis of required Intellectual Property reports. |
