BUSINESS OPERATIONS: DIVERSITY

 

System Indicators:

Objective: Strengthen commitment and accountability to Equal Employment Opportunity and affirmative action and maintain a diverse workforce.

Measure: Maintains a systematic approach to the recruiting and retention of new talent from diverse populations and continual attention to training and self-renewal.

Expectation: Increase or maintain workforce diversity compared to prior fiscal year.

Compliance Items:

None.

Self Assessment Scope:

Report on opportunities for improvement identified in the prior year’s assessment, if any.

Address any significant changes in system procedures or practices, including reason(s) for change and expected improvements.

Describe effectiveness and outcomes of outreach/recruitment activities.

Describe participation in Contractor’s Strategic Plan for Diversity.

How does performance compare with prior years?

Identify opportunities for improvement and/or notable practices.

What is the basis for determining effectiveness of the system and for practices?

Report:

Mid-Year Status Report due by July 15, 2000. This report should discuss critical items, significant changes, and the status of the self assessment effort to date.

Year End Final Report due 45 days after calendar year.

Provide a year-end self assessment report on the level of performance achieved against the System Assessment Measures in Section 1, any specific compliance areas in Section 2, and the scope in Section 3.

 

 

DIVERSITY (Continued)

DOE Operational Awareness:

DOE interaction on an as need basis to include the following:

Periodic meetings and communication between the Ames Group and Laboratory management staff.

Review the year-end self-assessment report and determine the need for an on-site validation.

Review and analysis of required reports.
